Start here. A cream cable knit with the sleeves pushed to the elbow, tucked loosely at the front only so the waistband still reads.
Brown leather loafers, worn in, no shine. The whole look lives on the contrast between a heavy knit and the flat drape of the trouser.
The tell: check the fiber before anything else. A real cable knit in lambswool or cotton keeps its shape after the tenth wear, while acrylic tends to pill by November. Acrylic is fine if it’s a few dollars. Just don’t pay wool prices for it.
